Just grousing a bit here. I'm an OC kind of guy with my 2001 3.5 Aurora. I have literally pulled almost every button (door lock / trunk / fuel / trip odo / steering wheel controls / traction / gearshifter / hazard DIC unit / HVAC controls) plus instrument cluster to solder in new lightbulbs. I hate driving at night and not seeing my controls, let along not seeing my speedo or tach. Why are the light bulbs so crappy in these cars? And I LOVE driving my 2001; it's a wonderful sweet ride for me, and just last week I scored a new driver's side floor mat because mine had a hole in it from wear. I keep it meticulously stock. I only ask about light bulbs, because I've had a 1997 Aurora since 2011, and NEVER had to change/resolder even ONE single bulb. Any theories what happened with GM? Did they cheap out on us? Anyways, that's my vent of the day, team. Discuss it amongst yourselves.

I guess but Intrigue and alero doesn't have solder bulbs you can actually change them.Well maybe they do in some switches but most of them you can change. only bulbs inside you can change on 2g is driver side window control switch the shifter light and overhead bulbs that's about it. I had bulbs go out on cluster on my intrigue and all i had to do just twist old bulb out and put new one in. not so in 2g:(
