My new to me Aurora has been a fun experience. It needed an alternator when I bought it. I replaced that, and noticed then belt was squeaking from somewhere. Ended up changing belts, tensioners, and serpentine pulley. As well as water pump, rad hoses & thermostat, Now it is getting up to 225 from the 185 (lower thermostat temp) that is "normal". I checked the purge line. Flowed freely. I realize the heater core is blocked, as no heat in cabin. Fans were running during this event. What's going on?

Could be a anything really. Common issue is possible air in the hoses that needs to be bled off. These cars are supposed to do it on their own. I think someone once said parking it on ramps helps with that. Also make sure the opening in the lower bumper isn't blocked with debris.
