Well, not yet.
I finally went to Walmart today and bought Silverstars for the low beams. I installed the drivers side (gotta take the air box apart). While I had the air box apart, I put back the yellow colored baffle in the top of the airbox. Though that putting that in may give me better gas mileage (who knows). Then I finally got the passangers side Silverstar installed.
I know that Jim said the driver's side is hard, but I found the passenger's side much more difficult than the driver's side.
I installed them this afternoon (so I can't wait till dark to see the full improvement), but while pulling into the garage I did notice how much white light they put out (vs the stock headlights). All in all, it was a very easy procedure.

I really like my Silverstars, the light is much clearer. I noticed a huge difference in the intensity when in another car. Example: I was driving my friends Cutlass Supreme and he was driving my Aurora, I couldnt look in my rearview mirror is was so bright (and yes they are aimed correctly, so dont bother pointing that out ) The throw on the lights is about the same, but its cleaner IMO. btw, thats the first time I have EVER heard of an airbox "regut" LOL Hope they serve you well Elan!

I have trouble believing that the air box mod alone would cause poor gas mileage - let us know if the 'remod' makes any difference.

I like Sylvania Silverstars, I wouldn't mind the Silverstars foglights 893's for my Aurora, but I kind of want to go with some yellow foglights, I like the look of the Lexus IS300, High Intensity Discharge system with yellow foglights.
Peace.

So far I am very pleased with the Silverstars. I wish they threw out more light, but the whitness of the light is great compared to the stock bulbs.

Naw...DRL, they are always on, so, I would assume that shortens the life of them. But at the same time I do not want to disable DRL.

The DRL's run at a reduced voltage, right? I'm pretty sure my headlamps are original.

Well, not sure what the problem is, but its done, I have installed the new SS, works great now. Its been 12 months, and both have been replaced, lets see how these ones do, if I get less then 12 months, then I may consider another option.
Its had to go back to stock bulbs when you've had Silverstars.

Yes I love the Silverstars but they do burn out faster - I have had them for over a year now...6 months max...but I think it is due to higher temp, DRL, etc Now if you like the 9006/9005 combination and you still want more light akin to the HID's, try THIS. Put 9005s into the 9006 slot. 9005s are 70% brighter than the 9006 and are not capped. Don't worry about other drivers thinking you have high beams as the outside beams are pointed low while the inside (highs) are aimed higher. You won't blind oncoming traffic but you WILL get a nice bright white coverage in the low beam area. You have to slightly modify the 9005 which I do now in 3 minutes with a soldering iron/knife and file. Details are here (its for BMW but its exactly the same thing for us) www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/More_light.htm

I can attest to that, when driving my friends Cutlass and he in my Aurora, I noticed the difference in brightness, wasnt in my eyes because the lenses are aimed properly, but over bumps or whatever, you get a flash in the mirror..and POW..its bright!
