I am also going to do the same thign but I have the Kappa series. You have to remove the rear seat and then the rear shelf covering the 6x9's. I thought you could get to them from inside the trunk but from what I see you can't. You have to remove the top layer of the rear deck and then you can probaly get to them from there. Are you going to be doing the front doors too? If so, let me know. I wont' be installing any of my speakers until it gets warmer. So it'll probably be around end of march/early april when I get to mine.

OY!!! I knew it would be a pain in the butt to do them. I guess it'll have to wait until the spring when it is warmer out. With regards to the door speakers, I'll see how it sounds once I put in the Infinity's, with my old bonnie, she sounded pretty good with just the back speakers upgraded. Thanx for the speedy reply.

it'll sound better, but the weakest part is the front speakers. Fade it to the front only and see what I mean when you turn it up. If you do decide, the fronts are 6 3/4" (or 7" depending on how the speaker company specified them to be.) A 1" tweeter will fit perfectly in the stock location as well. An Infinity Kappa component set 6.5" should fit perfectly in the stock location with the adapter bracket for the 6.5" woofer. The speakers should come with the adapter though.

in the classic all ya do is climb in the trunk, unscrew the old speakers, and cut the wires. wollah!, and do the exact oppisite in the opposite order to install

I have a nice pair of Blaupunkt door speakers but I have to see what size they are, I think they are 6.5" but I am not certain. I may as well use them since I have 'em.
