what size are the front door speakers on a classic? 5 1/4 doesnt fit and i measured 6 1/2 but everything i read says 5 1/4?

I think they say 5.25" because they can fit with an adapter. 6.5" to 6 3/4" adapters are somewhat hard to come across so if they don't sell the adapter they usually won't sell the 6.5" speakers for your car.

im not really smart when it comes to speakers and stuff. but the 5 1/4 wont fit. and we measured the one and it was like 6.5 what should i do?

well, the speaker if you are doing the diameter will be 6.5". If you measure across the speaker though from mounting hole to mounting hole, it should be 7" if it's a 6.75" speaker. My stock aurora speakers are exactly 7" measuring across the speaker from the edge of one mounting hole to the other. Does your stock speaker look the same as mine? Notice how it's not completely round. the speaker on the left is a 6.5" spekaer, the stock one is obviously 7"

I replaced the fronts in my 97 and the box said 6½" - perfect fit.

i just put 6.5 rockford fosgates in. prefect fit. sounds great
