:'(a tape got stuck in my tape player. when I try to eject the tape I hear the gears inside it stripping. I took the player apart and tried to get it out but I was unable. does anybody have an old one with a working tape player for sale? all I need is the tape part out of the inside. i don't care what the outside looks like or even if the cd player or lights work. i just need some parts. my car is a 97 model and my player is not a bose

Hmm... I've got the opposite problem, my CD player doesn't want to eject properly. Wanna trade? Actually if I end up replacing mine soon (with another factory unit), I'll keep my old one for parts in case anyone needs 'em.

I guess there's not much to be said for the longevity of the stock Olds head units...

Mine works completely. I replaced the one in my other car as it quit playing cassettes and it is the same model we have in our Auroras.

Forget tinkering with the radio and just replace it. I've seen them on ebay for as cheap as $25.
