I notice my HU plays some and some it doesn't. I notice that when I record in MP3, some play fine and some don't. Thats expected being an older radio but WAV plays most of the time and then it doesn't. Not sure if it plays CD-R's or CD-RW's normally or is it a problem with my unit.
Im getting vojtazbrna's old radio friday so maybe it might work in this one. does it work for you?

mine is like that too, it plays burnt CD's but you usually cant seek past 6 or 7. at first it didnt play any but its gotten better. what i did was just play it and if i wanted to skip a song fastforward until the next song STARTED playing. not when you see the track number but when u hear actual music.

no probs here at all with my burt cd's they work fine. you may want to try cleaning the player or using a better brand of cd's. my cheap burt cd's last about 8 months before the last songs on the cd start messing up

hey betonthis1, hope you'll get the radio tomorrow. i can tell you what it played for me. most of my cds are burned. All of them are CD-Rs...never tried RWs. All of them play, and mostly fine. I've had the unit for about 8 months and played cds a lot. I did get the error code twice in those 8 months. Which doesn't sound too bad to me. Hope you'll enjoy it bro.

believe me, you'd know it if you had the bose system or not. heh. The stock delco system is god aweful. the Bose actually sounds pretty decent, maybe I'd go as far as to say it sounds good! ( as far as stock sytems go anyways..)

That's interesting. Most of the reviews I've read on the Aurora say that the Stock system was excellent and Bose just a notch above it. ?

when I first brought my car home i could have sworn it had the BOSE because it sounded so good. the bass sounded like a woofer. my fosgates dont sound much better than stock. i only replaced them because i had a blown speaker. ive driven alot of cars and my system is the best ive owned

My non-bose had no problems playing cdrs. I had a cd that had 24 tracks and was over-burned to 83+ minutes and all tracks played correctly. The head unit would not play mp3s however.

( as far as stock sytems go anyways..) i would have to disagree. if i do have a stock stereo system it sounds great. 6 speaker system with great bass response as is. i however got 2 12's and an amp but the system sounded great.
