Does it do it to both the left and right? How does the "hazard" compare to the turn signals speed wise? could be a weakening flasher relay.

mine are sooo slooow. i've been looking and everybody else has like twice as fast signalling. it's been like that since i got it and it still works. doesn't really bother me. but i might have it looked at.

it changes throughout the years. Take off the black sound deadener panel directly above your feet on the driver's side. Try to locate the flasher with the turn signals on. You should be able to "hear" where it's coming from?

I tried comparing the hazards with the turn signal today. The hazards are pretty normal. I must say that the turn signal is slower. Hazards would do 20 flashes in 17sec and the light stays ON longer. The turn signal flashes 20 times in 21 sec. and the part of the cycle when it's ON is much shorter. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? I mean, hazards should be slower than turn signal, right? I suppose the hazards and turn signal have seperate relayes? Therefore, I came to a conlclusion that my turn signal relay might be shot. And, I think that might have something to do with the annoying clicking I've been experiencing. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good guess, and flasher relays and plug-n-play parts. Pretty inexpensive too. Give it a shot!

would the flasher relay be a universal part or is it GM only? i searched gmpartsdirect and didn't find anything like that. only found turn signal flasher and turn signal switch. where can i get this part?

1. Check with your local GM Parts Dealer. 2. Check with Rock Auto if you cannot find a part number with GM Parts Direct OR get the part # from your GM Dealer and go back to GM Parts Direct for your good pricing.

Hmm, I'd think they are fairly universal... like a bulb or fuse. I'd check your local retail parts store, Auto Zone or Advance Auto etc.

What do you guys think? well my turning signal will signal and then go totaly blank for about 5 seconds and then it will flash normaly for a while and then hesitate again. my flashers are normal. i will need to fix the relay and then see what happens. thanks for all the input

just got a new flasher today. took off the black plastic panel under the dash, located the flasher (very easy just by listening) when you touch it you can feel it clicking. it's a pretty small round silver thingie and there's two wires coming out of it. went to a local parts store, got a new flasher for like two bucks, replaced and voila...works perfect! the clicking is so much quieter and faster. i guess this problem is solved and that was $2.

Some things are so darned easy!! Can you imagine what the dealer would have charged you?? By the time they finished with ya, you'd be out a couple of hundred bucks for a $2 part.

Nice outcome... we all love when our Auroras finally get fixed, but to do it yourself for $2 is icing on the cake!! ;D
