I was going through the list of installed options on my car and was wondering if there is anything that I"m missing? I can only think of engine block heater and Bose stereo.
Stability control Dual climate control dual power seats dual heated seats heated mirrors Onstar Rain-Sensing windsheild wipers Premium (chrome) wheels 3.29 gear ratio Traction Control
I might have forgotten some of them, but that pretty much sums it all up.
One question, did any of these cars come with a heated windsheild?

Sounds pretty loaded. The three equipment packages were (all included with the 4.0): T2C: All Weather Package: stability/traction control T2U: Convenience Package: memory seats, rainsense wipers, electrochromic mirror T1U: Passenger Comfort Package: 8-way power passenger seat with 4-way lumbar, dual-zone climate, and the nicer rear center armrest. Other major options were heated seats, sunroof, 12-disc changer, Bose stereo, chrome wheels, gold package. The 3.29 ratio was on all 3.5's. OnStar wasn't an option. It just wasn't on some early cars. www.geocities.com/aurora402002/option

As an aside, Custom, for 2002 the only new major option was the navigation system. At the time, it was not available with the Bose radio (which sealed the deal for me). By 2003 it included Bose speakers. And in 2003 the only other major option was the Collector's Edition package. I always thought it would be neat to have a loaded up 3.5L as a companion car, or for my wife to drive. They tended to not be that loaded as it pushed the sticker close to the 4.0 sticker, only about $1,500 difference or so if I recall correctly. So you've got a pretty uncommon car there. All the lux of the 4.0 and all the economy of the 3.5. But you are missing the most coveted option... Red paint!! ;D

You have listed that for 2003, Polo Green was an available paint color. Actually, Polo Green was discontinued for the 2003 model year, but Cappuccino was available for 2003 as well as 2001 and 2002. You might want to correct that when you get the change. However, your options page is thorough and complete for the second generation Aurora. Thanks for archiving this information on your website. skexius

Quite right... Polo Green sure was discontinued. I even have the 2003 color sample brochure... I went to look at media.gm.com, and they dont' seem to have color info there. I'd guess I pulled it from gmbuypower.com at the time. I'll update my website if I can find the original doc I made that page from ( <---- not a web guy ). Thanks!

However the closest one to where I lived at the time was more than 50 miles away. Additionally I took into consideration the sheer amount of miles I drive every week and the type of driving I do. The smart choice for how I drive and for how much I drive was the smaller engine. It does just fine and the gas mileage is more than enough to make up for the little bit less power it produces compared to the V8. I'm sure if I were driving the 8 i'd be getting around 20 MPG whereas right now I'm getting 26 at an average of 37 MPH in my trips. Originally I wasn't willing to even drive the V6 because I was skeptical of how it would drive. I was used to driving a car with a supercharged V6 and liked how nicely it was able to accelerate. Several different salesmen at different dealers insisted that the V6 was one peppy engine though and said I should really give it a chance. They had a few V8's before and said when most people drove the V8 then switched to the V6 they didn't notice a huge difference at all and ultimately would usually buy the V6 Aurora. So I did take his advice and test drive the V6 and yes, I WAS pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting it to be as peppy as it really is. Granted it doesn't run 0-60 in the very low 7 second range like the Riviera did, but then again, I only got on that car every once and a while. Maybe once a month I'd go WOT in it. I also could not pass this car up as it had an extended GMPP warranty until 06/2006 OR 60,000 miles. I plan to extend the warranty when it expires. I thought it was odd too but I sure didn't mind. The original owner leased the car and he ordered it that way. Apparently he drove a lot of miles like I do and wanted all the luxury and the fuel economy. Apparently he was an older business man so that's probably why he didn't want the BOSE stereo. yeah I miss having a red car. The depth you can get out of a good wax job is amazing. What I don't miss though is how it looks dirty the first time you drive it after washing it.
