Merry Christmas to all.......... Just bought a 2001 Olds Aurora.........very pleased, very. Strange deal: go to car wash - for first 5 mins going down rod after coming out of car wash..........gurgling sound comes out from heat vent just above thr radio........and then stops..........every time I get the car washed. Makes me feel there must be a leak some where. Took it to reputable dealer........they said they could not find problem............yesterday, when it rained, it offered up the same crackly, gurgling noise but again only for a few mins........? I'm literally mystified. Any one help me? Thanks Jon. JLP1978@hotmail.com

my aurora does the same thing and I always assumed that it was normal. I think it's just water that gets into the HVAC system just draining out of the system. Unless you're having issues with water getting into the car, I wouldn't really worry about it. Glad to hear that you're enjoying your new Aurora.

Try running a hose down the inlet on the passenger side cowling under the windshield. See if it does it then too. It might be the drain hose is sort of clogged, causing water to take a while to run out.
My car does not do that, and isn't generally exposed to leaves and other debris that might work its way down there.

TRY TURNING UR MODE TO RECIRC OR TURNING OFF CLIMATE CONTROL WHEN GOING THROUGH CARWASH..ALSO CHECK OUTSIDE VENT INTAKE FOR BLOCKAGE IN EVAP CASR DRAIN...

Resolution was completely taking out the windshield, which has been replaced out with an after market. They found the caulking job was TERRIBLE which triggered all the water push-by........and entree into the inside which caused the disturbing noise which sound like a dog lapping at water. fyi. Told it's now gone.

That's great that you fixed the problem and thanks for posting the resolution. What kind of dog was it? A little one of course but what breed?
