Went to get oil change....leaking oil. Live about 100 mi. from closest dealer. Finally found cert. mechanic to LOOK at it (local boy) but am concerned about kind of job he will do. Asked 2 other car dealers local (non-olds) and they just laughed at me.SO.......my question is this.......What could the list of possible problems be? Want to make sure ol' boy knows what he is talking about.

It was leaking after an oil change? If so, I'd suspect a lot of things other than a leak. Spilled oil on the engine, poorly tightened drain plug or oil filter cap, overfilling, who knows.

Leak was found before oil change.........top passenger side towards firewall. ALSO.........I see that there are seperate fuses for the radio and cd player. CD player isnt working but the fuses arent blown. Any ideas?

How bad is your oil leak? If I recall, 3.5's may leak a little from time to time. Could be a valve cover gasket which is highly likely on these DOHC engines and based on your description of the location is a strong possibility.
As far as the CD player, GM had alot of trouble with those new style radios such as the one in your car and the CD player not working. Not completely sure what goes wrong but after time it just wont play CD's anymore.
