Our cars use a MAF sensor, so I'm not sure there is a MAP. If you know the air coming in via the MAF, you don't really need to know the pressure in the manifold. MAP sensors are generally used on speed-density systems.

I looked this up in my 2003 factory service manual. For the V8, the MAP sensor is located on top of the intake manifold, right after the MAF sensor. I know that this is the forum for the 3.5L V6, but I wanted to inform you about this. As for the V6, I am not sure if it has a MAP sensor or not because I do not have a 2001 or 2002 service manual. I would think that it would being that it was designed from the V8 architecture. Perhaps someone who has a 2001 or 2002 manual can check it and let johnj1277 know? skexius
