i was driving Yesterday and this is what happened i accelerated the car it went fine as soon as i released the accelerator there was a bump that followed, kinda like a jurk i didnt know what to do, so i turned off the car, went to get somethin to eat, started the car again, and it didnt do it anymore but it was a pretty powerful jurk, powerful enough that it took me away from my music and my bass
i was wonderin if this is a real problem or if im just a bad driver
Thanks yalls

unfortunately mine does the same thing every now and again.. I also get the same 'jerk' feeling when I press the gas after coasting for a few seconds.

Tranny gremlin, don't worry about it unless it keeps doing it all of the time. My '97 Bonneville would occasionally shift really hard from 1st to 2nd (felt like it had a shift kit), the tranny was still going strong when I sold the car with 200,000 miles on it.

I was having a similar issue, but mine got worse and worse. It ended up shifting hard like that all the time, even when on the gas. It ended up being the shift pressure solenoid or regulator or something like that. Now she shifts smooth as silk!

I've heard that consistent hard shifting can be a biproduct of too much pressure in the transmission (such as if it's overfilled with fluid). I'd check that just to make sure. If the level's fine, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm all too used to cars with flaky transmissions...

My 2001 did the same thing...if it happens a lot look into the shift solenoid.
Consumer Guide's® Auto Editors have scoured repair bulletins and questioned mechanics to search for commonly occurring problems for a particular vehicle.
Poor transmission shift: Late shifts and flares between shifts may be due to a faulty shift solenoid. (2001)
