[glow=red,2,300]I tried changing all 6 spark plugs today and also i changed the pcv valve.. but the check enginge light is still blinkin and the car is still misfireing, i was wondering if anyone else had similar problems? Could it be my coil packs? Looks like i will have to put her in the shop nexxt week..[/glow]

you didnt state what kind of Aurora you have, however, blinking engine light with misfire on my 1997 was definitely the coil pack, but, have you done the wires because a bad wire can also cause severe misfire and make the light blink

the coils are directly on top of the spark plugs on the 3.5 and 4.0 V8 (2001+ models.) The 3.5 always had coil-on-plug technology. There's a very short sleve that goes from the plug to the coil, but that isn't even an inch long.. I wouldnt' call that a wire. lol. For the record, I'd guess coil packs as well for the problem, but unfortunately, misfires are sometimes hard to diagnose, especially when you're not with the car.

[glow=red,2,300]i have a 2001 3.5 Aurora... with about 86,000 miles the code was would it be better to try and change the coil packs or take the car to the shop.. and were could i find some for a good price..[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]i installed new spark plugs didnt fix the problem and i then installed new coil packs.. Problem solved..[/glow] ;D
