On the air box, next to the fender, there are 2 Phillips head screws. Loosen them. At that point, pull the airbox cover toward the fender to slide 3 tabs out of the top of the air box at the engine side of the airbox. Pull the cover up (it won't move very far up, though, it'll still be attached to the air duct), remove the old filter & put in the new one & see that there is no debris in the air box. Then put the cover on top of the airbox & see that the 3 tabs go back into their slots. Then tighten the Phillips head screws & the job is done.
