I swear that my car just hates me. It's too bad that i like it so much. My thermometer is screwing up. Everytime i get in the car the temperature stays on what it was the last time that i turned the car off. Then like 5-10 minutes later it works again. Does anyone know where the thermometer is located?

If you are asking about the outside air temp sensor, see its location in this pic from the 2001 shop manual.................... [/img]

Does anyone know where the thermometer is located? That's how it works. Unless the car has been sitting for an extended period of time. Otherwise the thermometer gets heatsoaked from sitting after running and will be inaccurate. So the car just displays the last known-good temperature until the thermometer recovers.

If it didnt' do that, there would be times where it'd be displaying 100+ degrees even though it weren't accurate.

Acually when i park the car in the garage and then leave like 2 hours later sometimes i still get readings of 100+. I guess it's not a fool proof system. Thanks Y'all.
