I have a 95 Aurora with high mileage and was thinking of getting a 98 or 99. Does anyone know if there are any major differences?

As of the 97 model they got larger brakes, suspension upgrade, tilt down right outside mirror, electrochromatic mirror with compass. Look at this thread, while it is mostly 2nd gen it does have some good classic info.

The differences in the suspensions are not major, but enough to notice. On par with the differences in feel between the autobahn and non-autobahn option. You'd notice a smoother, more composed rebound, slightly more "sophisticated" in feel. The brakes are a major improvement, much better feel to the pedal with better stopping and longer brake life.
I wouldn't recommend trading up just because of the new features, but if you're trading out a higher mileage car anyway, as you mentioned, or for anyone else looking to buy a Classic Aurora, it's worth it to look for a '98-'99 model.

I like my '99! ;D If you are looking to replace your 95 for mileage purposes, a '98 or '99 would be a great choice. You'll get to keep all the features and feel that you are used to, but it will be improved and you'll get to drive a classic Aurora even longer! Since all Auroras are now "used", there will unfortunately come a time when most of them are gone or very high mileage. Get 'em while you can!!

Agreed, if I cannot find another car suitable to my tastes, I'll be looking for a 99 Aurora, things are leaning that way already..lol!
The refinements are there, and you get to keep that Classic styling that sets the Aurora apart.

Yeah -- we were even going to go 100 miles out of the way to go test drive a 99 with 65k last year -- but we found this one.
Jim -- if you get another Classic, are you going to put Magnaflows, high flow cats and all that other good stuff back onto it? ;D

I'll have to de-mod then re-mod the other one if thats the case. But to be honest, Classic Auroras are so inexpensive to buy, why not have 2! One for the girlfriend and one for me

I got this from mining down on Howard's home page. Not listed on his Aurora page(?). 1998 OLDSMOBILE AURORA, THE MOST CHARMING SPORT SEDAN - New front control arm design with front hydraulic bushing and rear cross axis ball joint for smoothness and isolation.
- Internal rebound springs added to front struts for improved body motion control and to minimize crashthrough
- Increased wheel travel (3MM) and redesigned jounce bumpers for softer feel at full travel
- Dual durameter cradle mounts for improved isolation
- Premium valving/damping in front and rear struts for a higher refinement in calibration
- New more accurate wheel sensors for improved ABS actuation
- New steering calibration for more on center feel and reduced parking lot effort.
