Added grounding wire from strut tower to engine where you put your negative jumper cable on. This is on the passenger's side of car. This is similiar to the one on the one on the 95-99 board. On the 2nd gen. there is a metal bracket that goes from the bolt on the blower to the side of the strut tower. It holds some relay, therefore you don't need a wire from the strut to blower. Bob, Do you think you need one on the driver's side strut tower to engine? aurorah.proboards47.com/index.cgi?board=Audio&action=display&thread=1104814813

Bob, Do you think you need one on the driver's side strut tower to engine? Well, I'm not really a grounding kit believer, so I'm not the guy to ask. I'd suggest that if the car has a poor charging problem, it would make sense to clean up the existing grounds. I also am not a believer in sticking stuff under a bolt that connects the top of the suspension to the body of the car. But if you want to do it, maybe try putting the grounding ring on top of the strut screw and holding it on with another nut? Or maybe soldering it to the nut?

I was taught in school to never ground something to the frame unless it was already there. the computers are grounded to the frame and any surge could possibly send an electrical current to the ECU.....I'm not saying it would fry it or anything, but there might be a few wierd things happening if something like that were to happen.....I say take off the ground and drive it stock...it's an Aurora!

um... everything is grounded to the frame anyways.... Where do you think everything grounds to. lol. your negative battery cable goes straight from the battery to the frame of the car... accessories have to be grounded somehow.

I was taught in school to never ground something to the frame unless it was already there. Never say never. Well the key here is "unless it was already there." These folks were simply re-establishing the ground that was there when the car was new. Over the years, the grounds had developed a poor connection. It may not physically be at the same point as the original grounds but, electrically, they are identical.
