I called OnStar about my check engine light tonight. They told me it's emissions related and I can still drive the car. I asked if they had a specific trouble code, and they do. It was a single code: P0410.
I actually had noticed the AIR pump the other day, it was whining. I don't recall it being so loud that I could hear it before. So I guess the car will be going to the dealership again. At least it's a free fix. The car just turned 32,000 miles, so maybe it failed because it thought it was out of warranty...
