Kudos to everyone involved with this site. It looks and feels good!!!!
At the end of the spring of 2004, my wife wanted a car to replace her 1993T-Bird which was on its last life of 425000kms. First she wanted a PT Cruiser (glad I talked her out of that one) and then an Intrepid which I was also not too excited about. Finally I told her go to the lots and see what you like. She came home one day and said there was a nice Oldsmobile for sale. Her favourite colour, Diamond White. I said,"oh an Alero, they are nice" She said no,the nice one.(which I figured the Intrigue) She said no, this is an Aluminum car. Oh boy I thought .......
It is a 1997 and it had 91000kms on it. We bought it and we are more than hooked. I am already drolling on getting another one next year hopefully and one of the last ones. I see quite a few of our model here in Niagara Falls Ontario (Oh yeah, thats where we live) I tow for our local CAA club and in almost 5 years, I have towed 1, 1996 Aurora to a shop because of a fuel pump not working.
Have had a bit of trouble with ours, but nothing that I did not expect.
Alternator and AC clutch in the summer
Water Pump Belt in the summer
Steering rack (at idle stiff right turn) today
Water Pump and Thermostat today
Oil Cooler hoses today
But other than that it is a blast to drive. There is very little competition on the roads for this baby. Eventually I will do a few mods here and there (thats if my wife will let me have it for a bit.)
Anyways sorry for all the chit chat, just thought I'd type a few sentences and say hi and as we go along will tune in. (Especially nice to see a few fellow canucks here also, EH)
