I just found this forum while looking for information on maintenance. I bought my 2001 3.5L Aurora new. It is white Diamond. There where 2 side by side on the lot. I took the Onstar over the other one with heated seats. I wish I could have found one with the Bose Stereo. I added heated seats myself 2 years ago. I put the switches in where the stock switches would be so it looks like it was meant to be there. I have 94K on it and do all my own maintenance when I can. I noticed by cruising the forum, there are a lot of common nuisance problems--dash lights, secondary air pump, etc. I have found al ot of good info so far. I will be tackling the dash light replacement when the weather warms up, (Michigan).

Glad to have you with us. A man who does all his own maintenance is a rich man (especially concerning these cars). Best of luck with it. Thanks for finally coming on over to introduce yourself. I'm sure you will be asked a lot of "how to" questions here. Again, great to have you with us.

Welcome skeecat! I'm sure the other 3.5-owners are glad to have you around. I added heated seats myself 2 years ago. I put the switches in where the stock switches would be so it looks like it was meant to be there. Wow, you can do that?! Impressive! The passenger side heated seat on my '99 currently doesn't heat up; any idea what I should check? The switch lights up and I can hear a relay clicking on and off under the seat, but no heat. Maybe you could check and respond to this topic, so we don't get too off-topic.

Welcome aboard skeecat,
I got a good tip on the dash lights, drop me a line when you decide to tackle that job.
