Hello my fellow Aurora lovers. I'm new to this board and glad to be among those 'who understand'. Here's a little story I'd to share with you all. I am recently divorced. As a result of my divorce my ex-wife got 'custody' of our black on tan 96 Aurora. It's been over a year since I last drove the car and I have suffered Aurora withdrawal the entire time. I actually purchased a 01 Lincoln LS and a 99 GMC Yukon during that time, but always felt there was something missing, that something being an Aurora parked in my driveway. Well, as of yesterday that emptiness, that void, has been filled. I bought a 98 black on tan Aurora and you have no idea (well in fact you might) how good it feels. I give all my cars nick names. The LS is named Diddy (the panty dropper), the Yukon is named G-Man, and now the Aurora has been christened X or Bernard for world champ Bernard Hopkins. X is in excellent shape, but I plan on doing something I've never done to any of my cars, and that is hop it up, trick it out. So for fun and enjoyment I will be asking this board for ideas on what can be done. New body kit? Free flow exhaust and new pipes? New wheels? 18" chrome wheels? Engine mods ( what can be done to increase the horses?)? Let me know what's hot and what's not and I'll put your suggestioons into action and post pics as progress is made. So hello. It feels great to be back in the Aurora world, one super ride.

Welcome kiloez! Good to have you here. If you read the many post here you will find out what you can and what you should not do to your "new" Aurora. Search this forum for the k&n filter and airbox mod since that should be one of the first things you should do. Then spend a whole week reading our performance forum. That should give you a good start. As far as rims, I'll point you in the direction of the good people here (incuding but not limited to JimW, Javi and Rora99). For audio you should talk to Supastealth, Custom88, Javi (he's multi-talented) and some others (I can think yet because I've been up for about 24 hours so I am sorry if I didn't mention specific members). Lights - Javi and Rora both have HID light's installed. Aurora40 is your waxing and cleaning expert. Letitroll98 is your auto-rx expert. Marc is your camcorder expert. That is all I can think of right now. Oops, one last one. Aurora40 and JimW are the exhaust experts too. ;d

hey! you forgot someone.. i can be a waxing and cleaning expert too! Blackie (Black Aurora) is one of the waxing and cleaning experts that we have here. Steven (stevensolds) is our resident body kit, bumper painting, tranny fluid pan dropping, regular WOT and driving like a maniac expert. Does that cover it. ;D Sorry Steven, it's all meant in jest.

Welcome aboard kiloez! This is the right place for info on hop up mods. As erw mentioned there are many members that have done so, and many a post illustrating their work and opinions. However I would mention, as kindly as possible, that the members have little patience with bringing up old and moldy threads unless you really have something to add to it. Better to start a whole new thread on your specific issue.
Divorce. Boy does that suck big ones. eh? I wish I had listened to the advice, "Cheaper to keep her". Glad you got your car back. So do you notice any difference between the "old" model ('95-'97) and the newer modified classic with the revised suspension settings and brakes etc.?

thats why i wanted a 97-98 model lettuce. hehe. no doubt firmer ride bigger brakes. my dad said the ride on the 97 was a lot firmer from the mushy 95. my 95 aint that mushy, but its still kinda soft.
