Hi everyone. I was searching for a forum about the Aurora, glad I found this one! This group looks very informitive and people also have some humor. My wife came home a month ago and said that she found a car that she wanted to buy. So I of course went to the autoplaza to take a look. I told her that it sure was a slick, sporty looking car. But the miles were too high and I was afraid of it for that reason. She convinced me to drive it. WOW! I fell in love. We purchased the car that day! This was totally out of my character. So then I get to looking and find this group. Her car has 166000 miles on her. But runs like a top {except for a hard start problem}. We are the third owners of her. The first owners had her for 30K and the second owners for 136k. The scond owners have taken great care of her. Whenever something was wrong the had her fixed and kept up the usual maintenence. The most serious problem being to replace the complete wireing harness and a waterpump. But the strange thing is they never had the recall work done on the fuelrail. I had that done yesterday. Well enough talk for now I need to go wash her. PS Thanks for being here.

Thank you Mr. Jim ;D *checks mic* Good afternoon fishus. I would like to that you for joining us today. The FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) is a common weak point on classic (95-99) Auroras. You can find lots of information about the FPR if you do a search on the board. I believe that the one I started is called "Hard Starts," but I can't seem to find it at the moment. In the meantime, you can find more information at this page: www.howardm.net/dred98/underhood.phpClick on the second link and you will be good to go. It is a very easy job (about 15 minutes) to do and you will be back on the road in no time. Thank you again for welcoming me to this FPR convention. *mic closed*
