Okay, i just recently purchased a 97' aurora. Now i know that it is fast. But i would like to make it a little faster than what it is. Currently everything is stock. I do not want to spend an enourmous amout of money into it. Just enough to make a difference. Ive already blown a few ricers out of the water. The best thing i like about the car is that it is silent. Im not looking to beef the exhaust and make it rumble. If anyone has any suggestions for me im all ears.
Thanx

Thats the probably on of the most useful mods to this car. That and gutting the airbox (and maybe a K&N filter).

Welcome. I am looking to do some minor upgrades to give it just a little more "oomph".

Welcome, and check out the "Performance" section of the forums for some ideas. As erw mentioned, you can start by gutting the airbox and installing a K&N filter for some extra "oomph". Exhaust is the next common performance mod, and several members have mufflers that are only loud when you stomp on the throttle (and pretty quiet the rest of the time). That's probably what I'll try and install soon. Jetchips are generally discouraged for our cars, most are crap. You can install an aftermarket intake and throttle body, but that gets pricey (if you want quality). There's a cheap grounding kit mod out there that is supposed to improve throttle response... haven't tried it myself yet. There are some ideas to get you started.

Welcome aboard hyperdog! Check my signature for the best bang for the buck performance mods. I have a seven second Classic that handles and stops great. Not much more you can do without major bucks. I consider cat back exhaust major bucks, but that would be the next mod for me.
