Hi, Came across this site while on OF. I recently purchased a 2001 Aurora 4.0. Love the car, except for a few design quirks, it's great. So far I've only tinted the windows 15%, put in a K&N filter and replaced the headlights with xenon bulbs. Here's a link to a couple of pics of my car. www.cardomain.com/ride/2053052

WELCOME! Hope you like the site. Your car looks nice and clean. What bulbs did you use for your headlights?

WELCOME! Hope you like the site. Your car looks nice and clean. What bulbs did you use for your headlights? Thanks! I just used the xenon gas bulbs. Typically ricer bulbs, they have a bluish tinge to them. I find they're great on the darker roads but don't really work for ******* in the rain. I'm hoping to get some yellow bulbs or inserts for the foglights. They're the same colour temp as the Silverstar bulbs, only they were a little bluer and half the price.

Solid ride! What are the design quirks that you refer too? Thanks! I find the rear deck too high and the windows only going down 1/3 of the way bugs me. Other then that, it's mostly just the leak in the trunk that I can't find. (Everything seems to have been patched up already) All I know is that it's on the driver's side of the car. I'm thinking of just spraying something in the trunk to try and seal it up. I've also got a clunking problem in the steering wheel when I turn left. But I think the problem was mentioned on this site already. Something about the steering shaft. Other then that, the car's great!

awesome, more and more 2nd gen owners. now im feeling left out, lol. nice ride. what do you plan on doing to the car in the future as far as mods? I'm thinking of replacing the exhaust and depending on how hard it's going to be, I wanted to try and do a true dual exhaust and get a little bit of that beefy sound out. I also want to lower it a bit and possibly ad a spoiler. I mostly want to exterior to remain stock and create a sleeper.

Dual on your 4.0 would be awesome - lowering is one of my favorite mods personally, it really adds a lot to the look (especially with the 17 chromes)... keep us up to date

nice looking car. White is one of my most favorite colors on the Aurora. I wouldn't go true dual exhaust though. The stock pipe is big enough. YOu'll lose torque by going dual exhaust more than likely. I look forward to seeing you around the board!
