Hi everybody, I'm Al and ejoy driving my Olds, just got her a month ago. I went from a tiny little Hyundai Excel to this. I'm a big man I thought how funny it was looking me coming out of a tiny car. I've actually posted a couple of times but never formally introduced my self. The reason was i didn't was because I did't get a good pic of my car until today (actually had time!). I look forward to contributing to the forums. I had a good interior pic but photobucket wouldn't upload it. go figure.

Yeah, I will never, ever, get a car with a sunroof again; my wifes car's sunroof was and is a nightmare. Currently stuck in the closed position (after being fixed 3 times, completely) and slightly leaking.

Welcome Al I have a 97 as well (looks pretty much like yours) except mine has the sunroof. I love it. No leaks and no problems. Do you have autobahn on your rora?

No, its the 4.0 engine. I looking to detail the engine compartment but its just way too cold They are all 4.0's... The Autobahn had Z-rated tires and a different final-drive ratio. It's a highly desirable package, even though a glance at the 1/4 mile page shows non-autobahns turning in the better times...

Bear with me while i'm still learning....So the only way i could check is see my tire size? Is there another way to see if i have this, i'm doubting i do, but you never know.

You can look at the tire pressure label on the drivers side door and see if it specifies Z-rated tires. Also you can check the build sheet in the trunk under the spare tire cover and look for code "QQX". Or check the window sticker for "Autobahn Package"...

The other difference with the Autobahn is the speed limiter; it's at 137 instead of 108. That's definitely a quick way to tell whether or not you have it ;D

LOL tjm..i was thinking the same thing. Whenever an ebay ad goes up me and you are gonna go at it Except i bought a new shifter from gm. But yeah al, that interior looks pretty damn good for 95k. The dash plastic also doesnt looked fogged up like 95-96 year generally does from moisture. Good pick!! I hope you dont have many problems with engine...1997 they generally cleaned it up pretty well I think. Firmer suspension too. I cant imagine driving this boat without a sunroof though, thats the one thing I have to have in a car. If its not a convertible, its gotta be a sunroof!! Nothing like that first spring 70 degree day and opening that thing up man. Oh..and i just noticed. You came from a Hyundai Excel. That must feel like so much better coming from a ****box like that to a luxurious car like this.

I had the worst luck with them, sunroof ='s pain and suffering, for me at least... as crappy as my previous autos were they all had working a/c for that i'm very thankful!

Moving from the Hyundai Excel to the Aurora had to be quite an adjustment, 4 cylinder to 8 and washing macne sounds to a hum of power.
Good luck
