Hello, I'm thinking of purchasing a 98 Aurora with 110K miles and have a couple questions about problems I've found.
First, the "Service Engine Soon" is displayed on the upper part of the dash. The owner says it's nothing to worry about.
Second, it's leaking oil and the local GM dealer reported it as a leak in the case half gasket??
Sure could use some input on these issues.

How much oil does it leak? That doesn't sound like a cheap fix (there aren't many of those with these car )... since you know about it now, get an estimate and factor that into your offer to the seller.

I wouldn't worry about the SES light too much. Mine comes and goes due to a bad sensor. When I tilt the wheel down to drive I can't see the money bar anyway!
