I have a wedding to attend this weekend where I am participating as a groomsman. The father of the bride neglected to look into proper transporation for the bride and groom So guess who offered their car for the wedding! ;D It will be cool to see my car used as a limo for one of my best friends and his new bride! *beams with pride*

Jim that tape from those tissue paper flowers and streams will rip your clearcoat and paint right off ;D ;D How so? Will it scratch the clearcoat? Does Factory clearcoat differ then aftermarket clearcoat (like the kind you'ld buy at Autozone)?

Legit question ;D
The diamond clear coat is much like nail polish, I'm sure the AutoZone version is similar to the factory diamond coat.

Good to know. So, tell me, how will tissue paper wipe clearcoat off. Does it scratch it like sandpaper?

Tape on paint is always a concern. Have you ever taped up a desk drawer to be moved or anything and had it pull the paint right off? Some tapes could lift paint chips, you never know. But there are tapes that are perfectly safe, like automotive masking tape. Also, touch-up paint is usually quite different than OEM paint. It is typically a laquer paint, whereas OEM paint is a urethane or other catalyzed paint. Laquer touchup is also pretty glossy, so you really don't need clear over it. OEM base-coat is not glossy at all. The clear makes it glossy. None of this has anything to do with a wedding, I'm just saying. Have fun using the Aurora as a limo, it's a great car for it. Stylish and roomy, plus yours is white!

;D
The car was perfect, to bad it rained on the way back from the church. Abi wanted to have her veil attached to a partially closed sunroof...but alas, the heavens opened and it rained like crazy, but thats OK, the photos went down first and everything was perfect!
I'm so happy for my buddy, he called me today before his honeymoon and was on cloud nine!
I guess a part of my gift to them (the car) was appreciated!

As for the caps..well thats a work in progress. The first attempt didnt go so well, in fact it went so badly the car looks better without the caps
