Does your state or province have an annual inspection in which items such as the steering, brakes and the like are checked? ______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Yes. Virginia requires this every year. I hate it... They also insist on sticking a hideous yellow sticker in my windshield.

Yes we do here as well. Its every 2 years however. We have a vehicle safety test and emissions test. You must have your emissions past to renew the licence every two years
No hideous stickers tho

Got one as well. It's every year. They check the headlights, taillights, horn, tires, brakes, and all that jazz. They also check the emissions and require proof of insurance. Its more time consuming then anything. It does give the state an excuse to take our money so they can pad their wallets!

No inspections in MY area of Illinois (thankfully), but they do north of me in the metro & suburban areas of Chicago. They apparently have cars inspected in the St. Louis, Missouri area also. My Aurora (which I purchased in MO) had a recent inspection sticker on the inner windsheild... which I promptly scraped off and "Goo-Gone-d".

We’ve got on in MA and it’s every year, they check lights, brakes, horn, tint (grrr…) etc., etc., and we have emissions testing every two years or whenever your purchase your car and take it for your 1st inspection. My car didn’t pass it’s Emissions testing so I am rocking a big Green and Black R – How fabulous

NJ has inspection every 2 years. They just changed their whole inspection routine this year tho. Any car with OBDII they just hook it up to a computer for a few seconds, if it doesn't throw a code you're good for 2 more years! I'm actually going to inspection next week, should I bother taking pictures? heh.

I live in New York State. NYS is going to be going to that OBD II inspection also. This is much better than the dynomometer inspections. Half the time, the dynos are out of order. _______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Thats not the first time I have heard that about dynos Marc, I wish we'd adopt the OBDII test, that sounds like an excellent solution!
