So my '69 Executive died in the driveway the other day, everything went dark while I had the ignition in the "on" position (engine not running). All my battery connections seemed tight, so I assumed it was the battery itself. Charged it overnight, no response the next day. And I mean NO power at all inside the car, no dome light, no dash lights, certainly no engine crank, no nothin'. My alarm siren would barely squeak a warning each time I moved the battery post around, so that tells me there was SOME power getting thru somewhere.
I took the battery to Advance Auto, they say it's fine. I'm going to hook the battery back up later and re-check connections, and check my fuses as well... any other suggestions?

I borrowed a voltage meter from my neighbor and started probing away. I had power all around my battery and alternator, but nothing to my fuse box... it turns out that the positive lead was loose on my starter, which prevented any power from getting anywhere else (I had no idea that could happen). I spent about 2 hours trying to reach the spot and tighten the nut yesterday; eventually I had to drop my starter down about halfway, which still was no simple task. I'll get it put all back together later, and hopefully it'll work! Edit: hey this is my 100th post. Woo hoo!
