let's compare Aurora (95-99) to other cars:
Aurora Town Car 4.0L 250 hp V8 4.6L 210 hp V8 Nimble Ponderous Luxurious old school
Oh, well no comparison!!
Aurora LHS 4.0L 250 hp V8 3.5L 214 hp V6 Stylish Humpbacked GM Product Chrysler product
Hmmm, Nothing to compare AGAIN!
Aurora Avalon 4.0L 250 hp V8 3.0L 210 hp V6 Sexy Boring Powerful Under powered
Ohh, I give up. There is nothing to compare to the Olds Aurora. Boy do feel stupid!!!

LOL!
Nice idea ;D
I believe the only north American car that the Aurora can compare to is the STS cousin and the Bonneville GXP
Some luxury imports can compare, the BMW 5, the C, E class Mercedes, Audi A6, and the Lexux E class.
Good company for the humble Aurora

No way... The Lexus is more expensive, less powerful, more marshmallowy, much smaller inside, and is pretty dang bland to look at. The mileage isn't even that much better considering the wussier engine and smaller size.

Aurora vs Chrysler 300M (old model) 250hp V8 vs 250hp V6 Ponderous vs Nimble Beautiful vs Not Bad
They had a comparison of these two in some ezine I was reading before my purchase. Rated the Aurora a slight fav over the 300M. It could really come down to personal preference here as there are plus's and minus's for both cars. Don't throw me out of the club, but I have to call 'em like I see 'em.
IMHO, the new 300M is the ugliest SUV looking POS since the last Chevy Caprice police special. Reortedly a nice car, but man is it homely!

I test drove a 300M when I was shopping for the Aurora. There is little comparison in the way they feel. The 300M had some nice white-faced gauges to class it up, but otherwise felt like a regular family sedan inside. The ride was fairly regular too, and in spite of the similar power ratings, the Aurora V8 has a much broader power curve. The Aurora just felt more solid, more meant for luxury, and it seems faster (anyone got a 300M they'd want to line up next to me?). However, the 300M was a bargain. Loaded it stickered at about $32k vs the Aurora's $37k sticker. But the Aurora also had stuff like stability control, rain sensing wipers, and other amenities that you just can't get on the 300M (the Chrysler salesman even told me ABS wasn't offered on the 300M, but thankfully I knew more than him [as usual]).

300M has cool autostick. Aurora would be nice with autostick.

True, it would be nice. the only thing is you add more complexity to the Powertrain Control Module. Autostick is kind of a gimmick. It won't even hold to redline when upshifting.

Sorry all, I am gonna have to defend the Linc Town Car the 03's and up are phenomenal! All I could say after driving one was "oh man" but don't get me wrong if I am going for sporty it's be the rora all the way but there is definitely something to be said about town cars. I would own one in a heart beat (of course parking it next to the rora...)LoL
