Kind comments and constructive criticism is welcome ! On this board? You ask for too much sir! Really a very nice site Howard. Thanks so much for the RPO codes, I printed them out and will go check mine asap. And your link to Aurora info gave the answer for Jim's license plate query on another thread, "L47 40L".

Cool! But why is there no RPO code for the 3.48 transaxle ratio? The Aurora never came with a 3.11.

The 3.48 is probably normal with the MH1 transmission option so the only code listed would be for the extra option 3.71. (That's a guess) A 3.48 transaxle ratio would be RPO code FQ2. And another guess, the 3.11 is probably for the Riviera - they share the same manuals and RPO list.

I've added more stuff to my website - the new address is on my sig. Some of the things I've added are pictures from this forum - I hope that's OK - omegaic, I really like the police interceptor you built, it's on the heroes and villains page. Comments welcome - nice or otherwise.

Hey, on that heros and villains page, you've got the Aurora-powered Cutlass up there, but the Aurora competed in IMSA GTS-1 with an Aurora instead of the Cutlass in 1996. It'd look a lot prettier next to that Riley & Scott Aurora WSC car.

It'd look a lot prettier next to that Riley & Scott Aurora WSC car. The #5 car is the "first racing Aurora" with the Aurora V8 in a Cutlass Supeme. If you have a picture of the Brix 1996 car I can use it. I already have a picture - but there's a page seam down the middle so I haven't been able to use it.

I got it last year - in September - with 35,000 miles on it, it was in great shape (still is!) a few small paint chips on the hood and that's all. Hopefully it will last a lo o o ng time

Replacement of ALL automotive fluids and filters at recommended intervals is key to longevity. Use synthetic where possible.

Looks great Howard, I like how you incorporated the 2nd gen ramp use into the Classic oil change EDIT: I did revise my "final thoughts" on the project, perhaps you could use the updated edition?

EDIT: I did revise my "final thoughts" on the project, perhaps you could use the updated edition? Sure - send them along. I didn't include the video because I don't have the room from my ISP for video files, or many sound files either.
