Hi! There, a quick question: what is the 35 number appearing on the panel just after i've started the car?
Thanks, this site is a must.

When I hit the RCL button adjacent to the DIC, it read MONITORED SYSTEMS OK -pause- 35
35
Then displays the last DIC setting that was displayed before hitting the RCL button.

Only other messages I've seen is Washer Fluid Low and door open. I thought all the DIC stuff was text, not codes.

Another example of codes on my DIC
RGHT DOOR OPEN
-pause-
02
*when the car is in a drive gear
01= driver front 02= co pilot front 03 = driver rear 04= co-pilot rear
Nobody else gets these numbers?
And code 21 = either low windshield washer fluid or Oil Level Low...I cant recall.

I've never seen any number codes on my DIC, just text messages (same as omegaic) for any issues and "Monitored Systems Ok" when I press the recall button.

Is it possible that it is related to the setting of the light flashing and the bip of horn (3) and the door locking / unlocking when on drive or park (5) Just trying to know!!!

I doubt its related to the security system.
Doesn't do it for me. It just displays Monitored Systems Ok then goes back to the last thing it displayed before I pressed the RCL button.

I have found the solution! The Aurora's exported to Canada had Export ID codes programmed into the DIC. That's why your car is displaying those codes. It was intended to make it easier to translate problems between languages. The EXP codes are in the Canadian version of the manual.

Good lookin' out omegaic! We're gonna have to change your handle to Sherlock Holmes. Or is that too obvious? I had been following this thread with no idea of the answer. Did you figure it out by the Canadian members posting the problem, or did you look it up somehow?

I ended up trying random combinations of URL addresses and registering for the "My GM Canada" website using information pieced together from Jim's various posts and my limited knowledge of French. (For instance I now know that the postal code for 611 Abana Rd in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada is L5A 1H5.)
The GM Canada website is horrible by the way...it took hours to find the owners manuals.
