hey, i guess this question is for amanda or JimW... i have been a member since 8-04...i just noticed that under my name, it has changed from "newbie" to "3.5 L member"...what exactly does that mean I noticed some people have "4.0L member" under theirs.... does it depend on what car you own, because, if so, i have a 4.0 not a 3.5......or does it depend on how long you have been a member, kind of like a promotion thing its probably a stupid question, but i happened to notice it today and was wondering what it means.....THANKS

heh, i think what it means is how involved in the community you are, meaning the number of posts you have made

Its just a ranking thing, based on the number of posts you have.
We are currently reconsidering rankings to be more accomodating for the 3.5L crowd amongst us. It really doesnt reflect the car you have only a post count ranking system.

I'm all for changing the names - it seems to suggest that a 4.0 is better than a 3.5, which is not true, they're just different is all. In fact I'm not sure we need to know how many posts anyone has made. (Except to Jim of course ;D ) Does it matter? Opinions anyone?

I dont control the post counters. Its written into the software used.
As for the ranks, its just a rank, it wasnt meant to indicate that one was better then other.
