Hello!
Does anyone have problems with the option: "Check this if you wish to be notified of replies to this topic"? I can't seem to get through Verizon's spam blocker, even when I remove the spamguard, and/or when I put the address into the safe area. If I change my email address on here to Hotmail, it makes it to the junk mail folder. Does anyone get the notifications? Any suggestions/comments/harrassments will be greatly appreciated!

No problems here, my notifications get through to my gmail.com account just fine. For Verizon or hotmail, is there a way to "allow" certain messages regardless of size? If so, you could try to specify any message from "proboards.com" to be non-spam, so it gets to your Inbox.

*Edit: Now that I got to thinking about this, I have another notification question. Once I indicate "notify me" on a reply, do I then also have to click every time I reply thereafter in the same thread? Or does the notification stay active throughout the life of the topic? I've always indicated "notify" with every response, but maybe I'm doing more work than is necessary. GO SOX! GO SOX! GO SOX! GO SOX! GO SOX! P.S. GO CARDINALS!

My beloved Boston Red Sox did something that has NEVER been done in professional sports in this country! To come back from a 3-0 deficit in any playoffs to even force game seven...But to then win game seven...Against the NY Yankees...Especially seeing it's the Boston Red Sox... The consensus here seems to be that we would rather play Houston. It is a very strange feeling to know that we are going to the World series after 18 years and knowing what we did and to who! If, by the Grace of God, we should win the series, the city will shutdown! We had 2.5 million people come out for the parade when the Pats won their first Superbowl. It was 25 degrees and noone complained! The city has less than one million so you can imagine the crowds. It's almost scary to think about the # of people who have waited 86 years to win... If you want some ammusment check out this site: boston.craigslist.org/This is the rants and raves section of the site. We have a lot of transplants from NY that are Yanksees fans ... This is for Boston, but you may have a Craigs List in your city! It's a great site! I got a complete garage door, including the remote for the opener for free off this site. The guy was converting to a mother-in-law apartment and he even helped me take the thing apart and put it into my truck! Considering my garage didn't have any doors, I had gotten the wood for free (again from this siite) from Gillette stadium (ie: World Champion New England Patriots) but hadn't got the time to put the doors up. Again, I highly reccommend this site (free). If your city has one and it's not as busy as Boston's, just spread the word and you'll be surprised at how quickly word gets out. Just remember that it's .org, not.com

Thanks for the support. I am removing the link to rants and raves. I just found out that a girl was killed after the game last night by a rubber bullet shot from a cops gun into a crowd outside Fenway Park.
There are hundreds upon hundreds of jerks posting on the site now...
It is a still a great site! The rants and raves section should be ignored/avoided for now. This is the second time a college student has died during a celebration after a victory. The last time was this spring when we won the Superbowl. We thought we had averything inplace to combat stupid behavior. Now the early stages of the investigation seem to point to over zealous cops...
