lol this thread was started jan. 10th...
Are saturday/sundays good for people? Or are weekdays better? I think someone said lunch or something?
Someone also said lake calhoun or something? That's about 30-35 miles from where I live, which I think is reasonable... Too far for anyone?
How does the weekend of march 24th/25th sound(or the weekdays before that)? I think it should be warm enough by then...? That's just what works for me because I'll be in between jobs, does that work for others?
EDIT::: Someone said something about the minneapolis car show... Yeah that'd be way better. It's March 10th-18th. Don't make the date/time revolve around me, but I won't be available march 11th or 17th, or sat the 10th after 3pm. Weekday afternoons/evenings(excluding fri) for me work great...

wow, it's cold here! And barren, kinda a very depressing aura. Strange place. Nice wide straight roads, though. I haven't come across a single American employee here - is that normal? hehe. I'm sure the countryside is a lot nicer.
yeah, downtown. I work downtown and don't live too far away. you should check out the minneapolis auto show at the minneapolis convention center. if you're still around on sunday i'm thinking about going then.

I actually like the buildings, some are very nice. I spent the day today in this courthouse type building, that had a central floor with an extremely high celing, all open... The wide straight streets are certainly something I'm not used to on the east coast - where the average city was made like 350 years ago
St. Patrick's day is pretty cool here, I made some random friends on the street who were awesome and really drunk... If I had a bunch of cocaine I would have been a much better friend of their's
I'd definetely go to an auto show! But I have very little free time, mostly just in the later evening Sunday, then I'm leaving Monday morning at like 5am ... so I probably won't make it. I saw this thing for a sculpture garden, which looked artsy, open til midnight and free.. Worth it?
i've never heard of the sculpture garden. check it out and lemme know if it's cool. I like Minneapolis as well and I live a great neighborhood close to downtown. There are tons of restaurants, bars, shops, museums, theaters, and other things to do. I had a GREAT time last night. I met a bunch of friends at a bar and just drank and danced all night. I mainly drank $5 beers so I didn't even spend a ton of money (except for the 3 jab bombs). Lots of fun!
