Sounds like we have lots of interest. Let's not let this slip through the cracks! Since we're planning a Spring/Summer event and currently it's January, there will be *some* downtime in the planning. We just need to stay interested and throwing out ideas over the next few months. So I pulled up Google Maps to plot the Rockford <-> Chicago distance, and compare Champaign, Quad Cities, Bloomington, and other areas people might be coming from. Look at the map and tell me what city is RIGHT in the middle (and no, I did not plan this): AURORA! Is any more discussion needed?!?!?!? I would possibly be available for meet in Aurora depending on the date. Aurora is about 2 1/2 hours from me. I live in a small town just to the east of Watertown in WI on the above map.

Now onto more serious stuff. I really look forward to meeting all of you folks. I go onto many car forums and have been able to meet many new friends but the most cordial people are right here on ACNA!!

I go onto many car forums and have been able to meet many new friends but the most cordial people are right here on ACNA!! Yes and yes, some refocusing is needed in this thread. This topic will (and should) probably go dead for a couple months, but everyone keep this potential meet in your minds. I'm thinking Spring or early Summer before it gets TOO hot. Although the idea of weather being HOT in Illinois is not exactly something I can remember right now...

CAN I COME HUH HUH CAN I CAN I!!!!!! Uhhh, YEAH. That's the idea. Especially with the aforementioned cookies. (<-- supposed to be licking lips hungrily) Keep watching this thread for details in the coming months. After today's 4" snowfall AGAIN (this has got to be the 7th or 8th time this winter) I am starting to have doubts that Spring will ever arrive.

I'm jealous. Seems as of late that everyone joining up is from Illinois. Must be a lot of Auroras cruising the highways out there. You should draw quite a large crowd for your big Aurora cruise.
scottydl - Spring will come. Atleast you only have four seasons to contend with. In Maine we have five seasons. Winter, spring, mud, summer, and fall.

AJ, you are not alone Aura1 is from your area and looking for someone to follow. While nothing is set in stone, it looks like it will be in Aurora...seems fitting no specific date, just spring or early summer. Is this a trip you are likely to make? Looks like there should be a bunch from Illinois, and we may have some from Iowa, Wisconsin and Indiana. If this gets pulled off it will be awesome Maybe as the time gets closer, someone should start a poll as to which weekend is best for everyone. Scotty has probably seen a few of these happen, and he could make a suggestion as how this has worked in the past.
