The rear shoulder belts in my '01 Aurora bind- that is they don't seem to have enough tension to retract or stay snug when they are in use. Has anyone else had experience with this type of problem?

Lack of tension might indicate that the belt is twisted inside the belt coil assembly.

Wasn't there a recall on rear seat belts? I'm not sure which year was affected though.

We could really use a list of TSB's that are out there.

I have an acct w/Alldata- not sure if they would appreciate me publishing the data- but didn't see any recalls or TSB's dealing with this issue. I thought about the belt being twisted so I pulled it all of the way out but that didn't help. Its one of those things I forget until someone sits back there & says, What is this mess? Anyway, we're moving- finally- into a home that has a nice garage w/plenty of workspace so now I can get caught up on some Aurora projects- like the seat belt, brighter headlights, etc. I'll let everyone know what it takes to get the belt fixed.

the front seat belts are adjustable, are the rears too? The fronts are adjustable by pulling them out almost to their full lenght, then in the last few inches pulling them out quickly in a hard tug then let it retract. Usually it'll get more loose, but if you do it a few times it goes back to being tight. (check your owner's manual. The riviera has this feature and I can only assume the Aurora would have it too.)
