I decided today I was tired at looking at my dusty, full-of-finger-prints luxury woodgrain interior and tried out some wood cleaner on it. I used some pledge and it actually turned out very good. the wood trim is smooth as can be, has great depth to it and seems to resist finger prints. Hopefully the effect lasts longer than just whiping it clean. I don't know what that funky reflection is in the wood. I have no idea what it picked up.

Custom, could you have come up with a different heading on the new thread? Some on here may take "polishing your wood" as something else

Wonder what is actually on the surface of that wood trim? Is the wood itself actually exposed or is it coated with something the same way wood trim in the home is?

It is coated like your wood at home. I believe it's urethane. I also use wood products on it. I tend to use wood wax with orange oil. Looks very nice and seems to last well. Lookin' good Custom.
