I know there was something about this earlier but has anyone had to get ink out of tan leather before? If so...what has worked the best for you? I have 3 lines about 5 inches long from a "friend" who had a blue pen in his back pocket!

You'll probably get a lot of good advice on this, but I used plain old windex to remove stains, then I conditioned the leather. Darned if I can find something better!

Yikes! Would you be sporting enough to post before and after pics? Our Aurora came with an ink mark on tan leather too, but it's only about 1 cm long so I haven't bothered with it.

Try hair spray, works great on ink.

i got a fresh ink stain today. right on my driver's seat. what kinda idiot would carry an open pen in his pocket? well, that would be ME! anyway, as soon as i got home i grab my back pack with my cleaning rugs, leather cleaner and also windex as recommended. started with the leather cleaner first and it worked! took a while, but it was still pretty fresh so no problem there. just figured i'd let you know this experience.

Stupid stupid stupid stupid! It's been how long since I made the original post? September 12th?!! Oh yeah...talk about neglect! I haven't even attempted to clean the ink from my seat. At least I'll be able to take before and after pics. Where do I post them? I can't even begin to tell you how [glow=red,2,300]mad [/glow]I'm going to be if it won't come out because I waited so long!!!!!!!

I took apart my printer last night and my hands and the printer were covered with ink - I know it may be a different kind of ink but Fantastic Orange was increddible at cleaning it up.
where the ink has been there for a while ya might wanna try saddle soap too - a little elbow grease works it in really deep.

Take a look at these before pics. The third image is after using "goof off" and a little [glow=red,2,300]too much[/glow] elbow grease. I don't recommend it! I ordered some stuff that's like $14.00 for 8 ounces that is for ink on leather. I'll let you know if it works. Windex, Fantastic Orange/Pumis, and my McGuire's leather cleaner/conditioner didn't work!!! (as you can see)

Dang, you really going to have to take your time with that, try not to scrub it out, you might put a lot of pressure on the leather surface. If that was my friend that did that, that calls for a beat down.
