Only $50 per pair to have them put 'em in? Geez... I'd get it done. No way I'd mess with 2 door panels to save $50. I took the right one off my Galant a while back and then spent like 3 hours getting it back on, in the process scratching the plate behind the opener lever beyond help, craking the plastic on the rear horizontal portion of the armrest, and ruining 2 of the 4 plastic clips at the bottom. I also bent the metal window trim at the top (why metal, Mitsu??) but was able to bend it back to a recognizable form. Door skins are a pain!

The classic Aurora door panels are easy to get on and off. There are 2-3 screws along the bottom of the panel, and 1 in the interior door handle resevoir. Remove them all, and gently work the panel up and out to remove it. Don't pull too hard, as there are plastic clip-like retainers and wiring that could get stressed. As far as swapping your speakers, I don't know about that... I removed my panels to get to the inside of my outer door handle when it broke a few months ago.

Don't pull out or it will break.
