What's up with that silver trim half-way down the doors? That's gotta go heh. Also, is there pinstriping running down the side of the car?

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the door trim ... it came that way! I don't have a problem removing it, but I'm a little afraid that the paint might be damaged underneath it. If the finish is scratched/scuffed from trim, should I be able to wax/polish it back out? And yes, it's got pinstriping. It's quite subtle.. I like it.

Juding by the condition of the rest of the paint on the car (looks really good) the door edges can't be that bad. That pistriping is pretty unique, that's not a dealer option, right?

Hmm, hard to say... if the previous owner took the time to install the door edger, they might have paid to have pinstriping applied to!
I'm planning on removing the edging tomorrow, and we'll see how the paint looks underneath.

Turned out great, a little bit of sticky-glue-residue underneath... but some light application of Goo Gone and that was taken care of! Check out my latest thread of images, and you can see how much "cleaner" the profile looks without the trim.
