Although i was using a low res. camera, heres my baby ;D (Unfortunately the best pic of the exhaust :/) (i could only fit one sub in this pic.) i should be taking some higher resolution shots later on, but this should be good for now. ;D

Looking good,
Are you considering a heat shield for that air intake kit, some people don't like how the air intake can suck warm air from the engine, so they place a heat shield.

yes, i'm definitely going to put a heat shield on, i had one temperarely, it worked great for a while, but i'll be working on a fiberglass one soon, it'll consist of a 1/4" air pocket between two layers of fiberglass, maybe even carbon fiber, but i'm not sure yet. depends on what i can find. it will be painted the same silver metalic as the car, that should be some nice insulation.

Nice intake...umm before you do a box, dont forget with 32V, air volume > air density, so in English, the car is more concerned about volume of air then the temperature of the air. So, make sure the box is properly vented, or allows for sufficient air volume, or the car will choke. Nice ride btw

Thanks Jim, hopefully i'll get some higher res to show off the true beauty of this thing. about the volume thing, when you take of the lower part of the air box it reveals a 4x6 inch hole on the botom and about the same on the side not to mention the air coming from behind the headlight, that made me happy to see that it would be properly ventilated ;D

dont forget with 32V, air volume > air density, so in English, the car is more concerned about volume of air then the temperature of the air. Huh? It's the actual mass of air, and mass of oxygen really, that determines how much fuel can be burned, and thus power made. According to the ideal gas law, temp diffs of 50-100F could easily make a 5-15% difference in the mass of air. I would doubt that a cone filter and 3" duct allows for a greater than 5-15% increase in volume of air ingested by the engine (especially as that is largely determined by the cylinder volume, i.e. displacement, not by the cone vs panel filters). If you ask me, cooling down the intake charge will probably have a more pronounced effect than simply reducing the pumping effort the engine has to expend to pull air in. Especially as in both cases it still pulls air through a filter. If you removed the filter entirely, then maybe that'd make more difference.

I still believe that an enlarged throttle body and 3" intake pipe with a K&N filter will take in more air then a stock airbox. Laminar air flow will also be insured with at smooth mandreal bent pipe.
I still dont recommend an air box, there is plenty of air circulating around the engine. With the stock airbox out, it will be easier to access cooler road air.
In any case, I would probably wrap my pipe.

i put dynomax turbo mufflers on with some cheap decent looking chrome tips for now, i have to find some good stainless ones before winter, otherwise with all the salt we use on out roads these will dissintergrate before january, lol.
i'm from Minnesota, but i'm at school right now, so i'm in milwaukee wisconsin, its not legal in minnesota or wisconsin to be driving without a front plate, but i figure that i'm fine because they wouldn't pull me over in a different state for a law from my state. ;D
yeah, i am going to put some heat material over that aluminum pipe, on hot days that thing gets so hot without even driving it that you cant even touch it for more than a half a second.

1. Mounting an amp on the box puts out a bad aura. 2. SPL Contest?
