wow, that sux balls. but the bumper's "smart-foam" system sure did its job of pushing the bumper panel back out after a collision. wow, i never seen a plate be imprinted like that, thats unreal. good luck getting him caught and i hope he has to sit and think about that for a good while

Agreed, most other cars would have suffered a worse fate visually.
New parts are definitely needed though. This is where insurance helps, you were hit from behind, therefore zero fault of your own, and it should get fixed 100%, makes chasin him down afterwards seem a bit...wreckless eh?

Oh BTW the bumper never came back out the whole things sill in , the absorber is cracked i bet, take the floor carpet out and you will see a bend in the floor in front of the tire well, and under the car the channels are bent , and i bet the dog legs are bowed too , oh and did you see the bend in the sail panels ,claim whiplash , burn him

wow, i never seen a plate be imprinted like that, thats unreal. Holy CRAP that is pretty amazing! I'm gonna guess "527 0026" for the offender's plate number. Keep us updated on the police catching him (if you know about it)... I'm curious about how that will play out.
