I promised some daytime picks to show the true color of the beast. As explained my digital camera is kaput, so I have to wait for the roll of APS to finish. Our NJ Mini Meet (posted on another thread) completed the roll so here you go. PS. Opinion on wax job is solicited from the esteamed detail wizard, Aurora40. Another one of my hobbies is geology. Here is a bolder field of diabase rocks that ring like bells when struck with a hammer. The explaination of how they got there and why they ring is too long for this post, but you can find it under Ringing Rocks Park, PA.

PS. Opinion on wax job is solicited from the esteamed detail wizard, Aurora40. Hey, it looks great, nice and shiny! And those clouds on the hood look awesome, almost like some photoshop wave effect or something! That's how I like tires to look, nice and dark and clean, but not ghetto bling.

I saw the car firsthand yesterday and it looks amazing. Trust me, the pics as good as they are do not do it justice

no offense, but , if you want the car to look good, you better be prepared to spend alot more than $2000 for a repaint..... it cost me over $1000 just to have the hood and front fenders redone (they were a bit faded)...especially if the paint is Tri Coat... a good paint job (not Maaco...their paint falls off after a few months) with good clearcoat will cost about 4000 for the entire car (Auroras are alot of car to paint.)

About 4 hours after the wash/dry using a combination of orbital buffer and hand polish. I'm still using Mother's three step until I run out and can try the 3M endorsed by someone here, possibly Aurora40? The 3M is reported to be the same only better. Tire shine is from Turtle Wax, used soley because it's a gel with applicator pad and not a spray bottle, which I hate with a passion. The spray gets all over everything. Steven, try a polishing compound (NOT a rubbing compound). You'd be suprised how much oxidation is in only the surface layer.

^ I agree. If I were to repaint mine, I'd expect it to run about $5-10k. Granted I have no intention of doing this.
I have wondered about getting more clear sprayed on, then wetsanding it so there's no orange peel, but I doubt I'll ever really do that. The car's nice now, why mess with it.
