wow. that's pretty loud but it does sound good. ARe the dynomax mufflers your only mod to the exhaust? If so I might rethink the exhaust route. I drive the highway a lot and I don't want to be hearing the exhaust all the time on the highway while cruising.

Sounds good. I don't think I could live with it day in and day out though.

wow, cool. how much it cost you and can you break it down to what was done to the car? i dont know really anything about that so you kinda have to break it down to me like i was 5 year old.

He just cut off his Super Turbo mufflers -- lol. You cant pass an inspection like that though. Black Aurora also did this, and his sounds really loud. I could live with that every day since i do mostly around town, but when i was on the highway for 4 hours in august, the drone from the Super Turbos got old pretty fast. Hehe, still sounds good and people still notice it.

k, well for the exhaust, i went to an exhaust shop, told him to cut off and remove my exhaust fromt the catylitic converter back (including the resonator), and replace it with 2.5" pipe. then i put two dual dips on the ends. he charged me $110 for materials (not including mufflers) and labor. then i thought my dynomax's were too quiet so i had him cut him off and redo from the y-pipe back with just straight pipes for $60.
for the intake, i bought one of those cheep e-bay kits for like $20, bought a K&N filter when i had the money to replace the cheep one included, and built an airbox for the intake to seal it off from the hot air. i also insulated the airbox with reflective insulated tape.
oh yeah, i've driven 25 hours straight (twice) and do a six hour drive twice a month, heh, i just listen to the radio. the only time i hear the exhaust is when i want to, or if people are riding with me, then i have the radio turned down low.

That is a pretty sweet tone, I must admit. I'll have to take in-car vids of my '69 Pontiac in the future... it's quite loud with Super Turbos, but that's on a 400ci (6.5L) engine, and no cat or resonator. They hadn't dreamed those up yet in 1969.

honestly, the sound in the video doesn't do it justice, if you turn your volume up about twice the normal volume you listen to and it might be close. that would be cool to hear your Pontiac scotty, i cant wait for that. i loved the sound and smell of my old '64.5 Mustang, nothin' like that 289 ;D
