I have my car back here at college. Not really sure for how long. But here's some pics I took tonight (around midnight) I have a shaky hand and no tripod so forgive the slight shakiness... I thought they were kinda cool though. Go to brandeis.edu/~daan/f/aurora for full size and more pics and stuff... just playing around (or each links to full size) I went to this really sketchy parking lot I've never seen before, all empty with HUGE flood lights. Not sure why. It was really strange. Beside the parking lot were these trailors with dozens of shopping carts under them... On my way back a cop followed me all the way to the other town's line. Really sketchy place. I miss maine I overexposed the fog lights on purpose - to get that kinda halo look around them. But the tripod was my knees ...using the ground as my tripod: These were really fun to make - I'll have to do it more, and while driving and stuff (to get speedometer and everything) -

Pretty sweet. What camera do you have to take those.

I use a Nikon D70, 18-70mm lens. If I had a tripod they'd come out sharp, but these are pretty fuzzy... I just noticed in #2 there's a bunch of red glowing around the brake lights - that's from the red light refracting through the exhaust

Those are very interesting pics. That was good technique. Don't let the cops know you can outrun them though. They don't like that.

that's from the red light refracting through the exhaust Oh, I thought that was the light from Venus reflecting off some swamp gas.

That's what the government hides from you.

They're not very good pictures really.. your Nikon 8700 is quite the look-a-like to the D70, just not SLR. I'm sure if you did settings right, it can take comparable to SLR pics. They really aren't that great.. I was just playing around in this weirdly lit parking lot I'd like to go take some more at daytime... maybe tomorrow.

Just artsy stuff really. Cultures and countries and people. I just wanted a mostly mechanical camera, but digital - D70 is perfect I carry it everywhere.

It looks showroom new. Just ask Charlie the Tuna, or Billy Bass... he will let you know. Tried to burp out my coolant system, but the car was already pretty warm. Blasted out about a gallon of coolant before I corked it back up. After seeing someone's pictures of coolant damaged paint, I actually got my car washed. Refilled the tank yesterday, and topped it off this morning. Let it run with the cap off to about 200 degrees. Never saw any surging in the tank. Corked it back up. I'll post my dilema in the maintenance section. In any case, here is the latest runway shot of my baby, at 302,669 miles. Happy Motoring. Keith

When I get my car re-insured for the spring season, and my 80mm TB installed. I'll hopefully find time this summer to take a run at it. Depending on cash flow, I might even delve into Autotap and a new PDA so I can take unofficial runs.

Why not just take the plate off the front if you're not using it? Looks more sleek, more aerodynamic too. What was your time slip?

well I don't like the holes in the bumper being exposed, and after spending $40 on the plate, i'm gonna use it. Time slip is posted in the performance section, 1/4 time thread.

Ooooh... Tripods rock. The best is low-down pics without the tremors that come when you roll over a sharp rock or piece of glass or something!
