Theres one I used to see around alot the EXACT color as mine, there was a white diamond pearl white 1g with a sunroof, heated seats & gold emblems I wanted to buy sooo bad but already bought my lincoln MK5 coupe, I saw it being driven by the new owner like a week ago. Today I saw a 2g parked in a driveway a few miles from my house too, and in my apartment complex i'm always parked next too a 1998 Cadillac Seville STS I like parking right next to it and seeing the resemblance in the dimensions.

Went to my fiance's annual Christmas/yearly update meeting for the company our semi is leased on to. Pulled up at the hotel and i just had to take pics!! But it really shows how bad my girl, the maroon one, needs a bath!! Met up with the owners inside, they are from Broken Bow, NE and i did pass on the ACNA club info. Attachments:

Today I was getting back from a car show with my friend and was literally schocked because of what I've seen on the way - an Aurora! ;D It was so long since the last time I've seen one and I recognized it when we were like 100 meters from it. I said to my friend: "Look at that!!! That's an Aurora!" Unfortunately I didn't have the ACNA card with me, so as soon as we got to my house (which is just like 5 miles from there), I grabbed one and headed back there - was really pleased when I found it's still parked in the same place. I was even more thrilled because it was in the same city and the same color as the very first Aurora I've seen, that started my whole love to them and american cars in general. I haven't seen that one in years but it turned out this isn't it - it doesn't have gold package, the LPG socket is on the other side of the bumper, the turn signals are different and it's got those 97+ seatbelt buckles. I have (of course) left him the card, so maybe he'll get on here some day As I said I haven't seen an Aurora for like a year now, maybe longer, so today I kind of rediscovered it - I know we're all aware of that, but it's such a beautiful car! And look at that interior Wow, never thought it would make such an impression on me - made me even more certain, I'd get another one some day I know she's dirty, but that's not my car, so I figured it may look a bit weird if I washed her on the street in order to take better pics haha The interior shot is totally messed up, but I included it just to show the buckles ;D Oh and maybe somebody knows what the "Next Generation Air Bag" is? Is it specific to some newer years? It's a first time I noticed that.

That's what I called the "LPG socket" haha Here many cars use LPG instead of gasoline, as it's 2 times cheaper (gas prices are really tough here...) I think you also have it in USA, right? Probably not too popular but from time to time I can find an American car with American LPG instalation.
Aha, I didn't really answer your question - that's where you tank LPG. The actual tank is in the trunk (sometimes under the carpet - in the place of the spare tire).

Was wondering the same thing. Lpg? haha Also, those are some custom tail lights for sure. You probably have to have amber colored turn signals over there right?

I don't know too much about LPG when it comes to how it works to be honest. Actually I probably wouldn't install it in my car, as it can cause many problems and even destroy the engine in the worst case. So to start with the basics the car still needs some petrol, but there is an extra tank (there are many sizes available: 40 litres, 60, even 100, maybe there also are bigger) located in the trunk, so the first downside is that you either have less space in there or no spare tire. In the cabin you have an extra button, which allows you to choose if you want to run on LPG or on petrol. Usually people start the car on gasoline and use a system that switches to LPG when the engine reaches certain rpms (around 3-4k, I think that's adjustable though). There are many many different types of installations. Ah and just to make it clear - it's not something you could do yourself - you have to take the car to a specialized shop, have them do it for you and then register the instalation (put it in car's documents) to make sure it's all safe and legal. Actually you can't even tank it yourself - on gas stations that also offer LPG, it's in a separated area and you have to call a guy from the station's personel to put it in your tank! So the simplest installations just cut the gas out and AFAIK let the LPG (btw this stands for Liquified Petroleum Gas) through the same injectors. As far as I remember that's what caused andyfi ones to get destroyed some 2 years ago. There are other installations that have their own injection system (if I'm not mistaken) and they are generally more advanced, more reliable and provide better gas mileage. Because the standard old installations were increasing the fuel consumption and made the car noticably slower at the same time. As for the problems there is one more that I have heard of and that's the lubrication. It turns out that LPG doesn't have some of the important characteristics that regular petrol has. One of the solutions for this is to let fuel in the cylinders even while running in LPG mode for example for one of every 4 or 5 cycles. Well that's pretty much the end of my knowledge about LPG. I have some friends that install it in all their cars and run them for many k miles with no problems at all. This group keeps saying it's all about proper maintenance and most importantly choosing the right installation for the car (it depends on the specific model) and setting it properly. But I also know some people with LPG in their cars that just doesn't work at all. A friend of mine has been in a thousand shops have talked to a billion of mechanics and for like a year nobody knew why the engine refused to idle unless the battery was disconected before every startup I mean they said that LPG's computer does something bad to the cars computer and it has to be reset every time, but they've no idea why this happens or how to fix it haha That's why some people (including me) are still afraid of it. In addition I consider it as kind of a devastation, if it's installed in a classic car like the Aurora. Aha, almost forgot to tell you about the profits! The average price of gas here is around 5,70 zł/liter ($6,48/gallon) for regular, 6,00 ($6,82/gallon) for premium and 6,50 ($7,39/gallon) for V-Power Racing. LPG is around 2,80 zł/liter ($3,18/gallon) so that's half or even less! As I said cars with modern installations don't consume more fuel while running on LPG, the price of the conversion varies from 1000 to around 6000 zł ($300-$1800) depending on type of the installation. So what I was going to say is, that if you buy an Aurora you don't do it to save money. Actually I couldn't care less for the gas mileage, so why take the risk? Just my opinion though. To sum up, the only advice I can give you about installing LPG in an Aurora is to go for the more expensive installation with injection, because AFAIK "newer" engines (Northstars count here) generally don't like those simple systems. And as I said proper setting/adjusting is the clue. Don't know any details though.

That's because one of the requirements, a car must meet to be legal here, is to have a rear fog light And that's exactly it. I'm not sure where did they put the switch though... Maybe it just works together with the front fogs.

Yesterday I went to an American Cars meet in Pabianice, around 130 km from me. And you wouldn't believe how surprised I was when just 4 kms before I arrived, I noticed an Aurora parked near the road! I obviously stopped to see it. Too bad it was a bit late and I didn't have time to find the owner (didn't have the ACNA card with me), because this one surely was unique! It also had a bit of a two tone interior, but this time it looked just great It's hard to see in the pics, but it's all black apart from the door panels that were orange. The color reminded me of BMW only it was cloth, not leather - looked amazing! Other thing I noticed even earlier are the ultra rare center caps with the "A" logo. They don't match the wheels, because that's chrome center caps on alloy wheels. And the rear right one was gone. But they sure looked stock, so he either has another set of wheels or found them IDK where. And last, but not least - these turn signals in the mirrors... I know nothing about electricity, so that's pure magic to me how in the world did he make them look almost like they came like that from the factory?! Unfortunately it's all very dirty, scratched and dented, but this mirrors and the interior looked very professional! OK, now pictures:

Given that Poland is in the EU, you have other rules. LPG, I have never heard of. Here in Sweden we have: Gasoline (95/98 octane), diesel, E85 (containing 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, because of our cold climate) and Bio fuel composed of methane (used food and WC products, haha). We have small "American" number plates for cars for them who need this. No law on fog lights front or rear. The only thing that really matters is the white parking light forward, orange turn signals all around and also km on the speedometer. If the car is imported as removal goods, or at least 30 years old, the rules of the country they came from shall apply except white parking lights and km. It is okay to have double, both miles and km viewing. My Aurora looks exactly like in Texas, except white parking lights (which I only have on the annual inspection). Nowadays its almost the same rules worldwide, so the differences are small. Looked at a new Volvo and saw only one difference from the U.S. / Canada, the white parking light in the head lights.

Can't wait to see it, man! I've been wanting to do that for a while. Maybe I'll try it on the parts car's mirrors first before I cut up mine. Even if I found a DRM donor at the junkyard (never have) I doubt the color would be a perfect match so I'd want to use my own.
Will there be a writeup accompanying this mod?

I got lucky with SBM 'parts' car. Although my test one is with a white mirror. Paint is cheap and to be honest the way the mirrors sit, fresh paint and clear won't be noticeable. No reason to blend the paint into the door/fender.
As for a write-up, unless you want to build a vacuum former a DIY is not really in the works. Custom PCB, switchback circuit, wiring to make it all work, etc. I did order a pair of Mercedes modules that looked similar in shape to gut and replace LEDs but I don't expect to see them until after the first of the year.
I have many projects going on. Most of which are for others which takes priority. It'll be awhile.
