Hey everybody! I am sorry for not waiting longer. If it was just me then I'd have waited longer, but I had two of my friends with me who were desperately willing to get to the bachelor party we were originally heading to. Glad you guys had a great time, and I'm sure next time I'll join you from the beginning. I really thought you were gonna just meet at the diner and then go straight to the track. We left my house an hour late so I figured I'd meet you at the track. Oh well, we had a great time watching some races, tons of vettes, talking to Bob, Glen and their lovely wifes. The weather was just perfect, too. The pictures you guys took are fabulous! Just love it. Christine and Dan, it was nice meeting you at least over the phone. I'm not mad at all, just wish I was there, too. As for my name, it's Voyta. Vojtazbrna is just my username that I use a lot, but my name is Voyta. Many people have no idea what it is, but once I spell it it makes much more sense. If you wanna call me VJ, I have no problem with that. Lastly, let me just say that I really hope we're gonna get together again and that will be soon. The summer is not over for quite a while and I would really like to meet you all and your Auroras. I know my baby is dying to see her family members lined up next to her:) Whoever is gonna be in charge of organizing the next meet, please let me know;) Good night everyone. Voyta you have the King of the party privileges for the next meet as I feel the worst about dissing you. Bob and Glenn had their racing, but you were waiting for us. You were right, we were supposed to go straight to the track and by rights you did make the correct decision to go there. We had all intentions to go straight there. It just got...out of hand. At least you can experience my feelings on previous years when we had big plans that always fell through. Glad you had a great time with Bob and Glenn and their families. They are of higher moral character than the rest of our motley crew anyway.

Many people have no idea what it is, but once I spell it it makes much more sense. Ah, yes that does help. Hey Voyta, I am sorry I didn't take a closer look at your car. I wasn't really in the best of moods by the time you arrived. So I apologize. However, do you have any pictures of it? I was searching around here a bit but didn't see any. It's a gorgeous color and I'd like to see more of it. Also, how did that dirt road out of the raceway work out? I saw the sign that said to go that way to get to the Turnpike, but no way I was going to take it. I did however take about 8 U-turns after that while trying to find my way back to 33 and the turnpike. I've been to Raceway Park twice, and never found my way there or my way out of there without making several U-turns.

Dan, really no hard feelings. We were in a hurry for the party, which btw was hell of a party! Next time I'll make sure I have the whole day open just in case:) I was already thinking about THE next time, but I don't think people will want to travel(and some traveled very far)again to see, very beautiful, but still just cars. I personally wouldn't mind meeting at the end of this month, but that's because I wanted to meet you all and see all the beauties in person. I'm sure you've had just enough for a while so let me know when you guys are ready for that next meet;) Bob, thanks for complementing on the color. I really like that color also and you just won't find another car with this color. I had some pics, but I can't find them now. I remember though that the camera doesn't do justice to the metalic. You have to see it in person. I will look for the pics or eventually will take some more after she's all nice and clean, but that might take a while. You don't have to apologize. You had a lot of trouble with the tire. Did you get home without any problems on that doughnut, btw? And just so you know, that dusty road leads straight to Rt 33, but that was the last time I took it. It was horrendous!!!My friends talked me into it. The Aurora was fine, but the Vette may not survive there. Chris, I figured they were not metal for that price, but I'm sure they're gonna look perfect.

You know what would be kewl? There is a big Oldsmobile club around here, Delaware Valley Oldsmobile Club clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/delvaloldsclub/index.html (a chapter of the national club, we met some of them at Carlisle last year), we should set up the next meet at one of their functions. They're very informal, they love new members and prospective members, and it would work if we had a big turn out or a small one. I'll check their schedule... Ok, I'm back (gotta love the internet) they have a couple of things, the next event on their main page is Oct 8: clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/delvaloldsclub/DVOCfallshow2006.pdf*edit* I'll add some more to the above listing. It's in Downingtown, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. An all Olds meet and swap with judging if you want to enter, Antique to Modern classes ('88-'98 in one class, '99-'04 in another, perfect for our Classics and 2nd Gens). The cost is a whopping $10 ahead of time or $15 at the gate, I guess I'll start saving now. Looks very kewl and laid back, family friendly etc. They do have a caravan scheduled to go to the 21st Annual Blue Grey Chapter Fall Show Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, Hershey Pa. on Sept 24, but I don't imagine many would go for that. On their calender they have Sept 22-24, Fall Englishtown, Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ racewaypark.com/ , but I don't think that's an event they're going to as a club. I've always thought we should have a larger presence in the national Olds club, maybe this would be a good intro....

Dan, i would definitely be interested in getting together for another meet, one of the delaware Valley club functions sounds great...as for Auroras having a greater presence in the Olds Club of America, i inquired about that when i first got my Aurora....i belonged to OCA and asked about joining an Aurora chapter....i was told they do not have one ( i was shocked) but that i could start one if i wanted to....thats when i found ACNA...but you're right we should have some kind of presence in the national Olds Club, after all, Aurora was the greatest car oldsmobile ever built!!! Hey Voyta, what color is your Aurora? i heard you got alot of compliments on your color, and you said we would not find another in that color.....i am curious...oh, and i am always up for another meet anytime and anywhere

It's in Carlisle, PA and has several car shows a year. I believe the Corvette show is the only one specific to one make (and in this case one model) but there is an All GM show that was earlier in the year.

I meant it's hard to find another one like that...other car makers don't make it at all(at least I haven't seen it). But it's just a color. I like it. Hopefully we'll meet again soon and you can see it in person.

Man I would have loved to be at that meet. Although with moving and it being like a 20 hour drive don't think I was quite up to it. Wonder if it would ever be possible to find a locale where everyone could meet right smack in the middle of North America. Great pics guys and gals and thanks for sharing the pics.

It was a year ago and we were headed to the first National ACNA meet at Carlisle, PA. For this we had actually entered our cars in the show, the GM Nationals. So I spent a solid week detailing the car and had bought some touch up paint for the chips in the front bumper, some were pretty large. Well the touch up paint proved to be a disaster. The night before the meet and the only solution I could think of was some decals I had seen at Advance Auto. The bullet holes were the best of the lot, better than the nude girl or the Yosemitie Sam ones. I guess it worked cause I placed third in class at the GM Nationals. If I ever get around to having the bumper repainted they'll come off, I'll send you the pics so you can sleep better.
