Where is the exhaust for the '99 in the rear pic?
Am I newb or are the cylinder walls usually not connected to each other by only like .5" of metal in engines?
That car would look so sexy with 18" black rims, cleared corners, tint, blacked out tailight, and HID's. Not to mention the 4.6L.

I'll reply to this in the absence of the moron that owns this car. BTW, I'm Madcatter if anyone recalls the tutone orange over white '95. After spending hours cutting and welding on this exhaust system, taking it off, putting it on and repeating, he now has it as far back as the Y-pipe. If, by chance you happen to catch this car on the interstate, you can most easily recognize it by the ridiculous looking pair of stubs eeking their way past the rear suspension. Does it sound good with straight pipes. Absolutely! But it looks fricking retarded. -N8

Cylinders are connected based on engine and head design. For the northstar they have chosen not to. I don't know the purpose of connecting the upper cylinder vs not in oem aps. In full race the block would be solid top to bottom. Thanks for the suggestions on accessories, No hid's! But the rims have already be picked out, they are 18's, black on gunmetal gray. Tint or the absence of keeps me from being pulled over in my obnoxiously loud car. But it will be tinted in finally. Along with paint as provided by the services of the J.A. that posted to the exhaust question of yours while I was in the bathroom Madcatter

sick of the flames being spread I guess, more often than not the critics are without merit but seem to be with merit only because they can spend countless hours on this forum bad mouthing and being pessemistic about peoples doings.Nate has had more than a few laughs provided by what's been posted on this thread as he has seen almost all of the work done to this engine. By the way, I was the one that helped Nate with his project so he is in turn doing the same with mine. Just a small vent, anyway he has been busy with life away from the computer, the car not runnig well but still looks good.

I think we quieted down b/c SpeedNeon beat you to the punch. Nice work anyhow. With all the work going into the motor what is to be done about torque management?

ya, but i didn't want to just drop an oem engine in in place of the 4.0. it is cool that he did it and proved that it'd work as i thought it would.

When you're done with your project and i'm done with mine, i think we should run them. I have no idea what state you live in though, so that might not be possible.

And I'll provide times for an original 4.6 in it's original configuration.... It's not that we really doubted you Will, it's that you were super quick to jump on defense and it has been talked about before numerous times. And all it took were some pics.... That said, glad the project is still moving along.

I don't see why not. I'll throw out a stocker 2nd Gen time, since the only one we've got is Bob's modded time. ;D
